Introducing the AIESEC in Tallinn University Executive board.

Hello everybody. Since you might have seen AIESEC members around the University already and will be seeing them a lot more. I would like to introduce you the Executive Board of AIESEC in Tallinn University in term 15.16.

But first things first. It is a busy-busy recruitment period, which means that at the moment we are accepting applications on becoming a member so I would like to inform you about our office location in TALLINN UNIVERSITY. Zig Ziglar was definitely not joking saying: “There is no elevator to success…you have to take the stairs.”

Our official office room is T-514 which is probably in the highest and best hidden places in the whole University complex- it is located on the 5th floor of the Terra building! It is quite an adventure to find us but don´t get me wrong – our rooftop office is cute and compact. So hop-hop look at the directionstake the stairs & find us there!

And now to the exciting part! Let´s get a little insight of the current leaders of AIESEC in Tallinn University.

Local Committee President

About myself: “I consider myself a positive and open minded person who is always up for challenges. I live by the words: “Good things come to those who (wait) work their asses off and never give up!” With the time I have been in AIESEC, I have seen myself grow and gotten the inspiration to do what matters to me. Both in and outside of AIESEC, in the future as well as at the moment.”

Marilys: Vice-President for Talent Management

About myself: “I have been in AIESEC for a year and it has been the most adventures year in my life. I´ve grown a lot and become more confident in myself and my abilities. I try to follow the quote – dream as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow. So I dream big and I believe that one day my dreams will come true cause there is no reason they shouldn`t.”

75939_10203035717197224_1347920869_nDiana: Vice-President for Outgoing Exchange

About myself: “I study English Language and Culture in Tallinn University. Here I am also LC VP OGX in AIESEC, which means that I make sure people wishing to go abroad volunteering or on an internship get a warm welcome and support throughout their journey. I got here when I decided in the beginning of the year that it is time to get a different view than sitting behind books was offering and get some new experiences. For me, being in AIESEC is both a challenge and an opportunity, but all in all it continues to be a worthwhile and growing experience.”

marisMaris: Vice-president for Projects

About myself: ”Hey! I’m the current LC VP of iGCDP and on top of that also soon to be graduate of BA Human Psychology. There has always been this adventurous part hidden in my soul: to grow as an individual and try to help needy as much as possible, throughout different challenges on my way.

I believe this is the main reason why I study what I study and why am I still here, in AIESEC.

One of my biggest hobbies throughout all times has been writing: without words I feel, I can not fully function. It is my personal way to celebrate my ups and get through the downs.

I believe that if I am already here and I only live once, then I should also take maximum out of it all. I am sure that every decision and challenge on my life journey,  has been brought here for a reason: to accept them, learn from them, grow and move on.

My goal of life is to help people through what I am good at. I feel I have been lucky enough, but unfortunately there are many people on the other side suffering: my mission would be to connect the help and needy. And I am 100% positive, I can make my dreams come through at least halfway through my mindset and presence here in AIESEC.

And most of all, I am addicted to chocolate!”

meleneMeleneene Liis Zelmin: Incoming Operations Manager

About myself: “I am the kind of person that likes to take on challenges because I believe that the best way to learn is by taking on tasks that are out of your comfort zone. Being in AIESEC has given me an opportunity to do so. Even though my field of study (Political science) and AIESEC work are different, I have learned skills in AIESEC that I can apply everywhere (public speaking, sales, coaching etc)

In my free time I like to watch movies and play table tennis. So if you are interested in playing some ping pong you´re first challenge awaits you :)”

joannaJoanna Allmaa: Vice-President for Marketing and Communications

About myself: “I would consider myself outgoing, fun, quite clever and ambitious. In my soul I am a true dreamer and an ongoing traveller. I study Advertising and Publicity Studies. I joined AIESEC to keep on exploring. I stayed because AIESEC actually has had an impact on me and I can clearly see the benefits that it still has to offer me. For me it is as much of enjoyment as it is an interest as much it is a great experience.

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.” ― Audrey Hepburn”

neleNele:  Vice-President for Finance

About myself: “I am studying Youth Work in Tallinn University. I see myself as cheerful and hardworking person. I love singing, planning and doing sports. I have been related to AIESEC over a year now and I see how big of a change it has made in me. I have been working in a challenging and ambitious environment, learning about other cultures, people and most important of all myself.”

Cheers to the challenging and exciting educational year! We hope to see everybody grow and develop, so YOU out there – do the next challenging step for yourself, step out and see what you´re capable of!
