Voluntary work opportunities in TUT

Spend this summer abroad as a volunteer. Teach English to orphans or disabled children, conduct workshops to highschool students, help HIV/AIDS prevention among youth, increase locals knowledge in environmental problems. Most popular destinations are Egypt, Turkey, India, Russia, Serbia, Czech Republic and Kenya. As well many other countries where you can make something good happen.

Some examples about the projects:

Egypt

American University in Cairo’s Desert Development Center

Environment sustainability. Desert Development Center (DDC) is a research center, which is responsible of environment projects in American University in Cairo. Interns responsibility is to collect and analyse data about water usage in the campus, etc.

Internship starts on 1^st of May and lasts for 6 weeks.

Kenya

Upendo Rescue Centre

Intern will be working in rescue center located in Nairobys biggest slum. This center works only by donations and with the poorest children in the country. Center needs someone who has organizing skills to find funding to food and medicine projects. Interns job is also to teach children and do some extra activities with them.

Kenya has many similar projects, that focuses on orphans or very poor children. Who ever has the interest to work with such children then Africa, especially Kenya is the place to go.

India

Project Genesis (HIV-AIDS & Women Empowerment) 

Conducting workshops and external events in topics such as: HIV/AIDS, consumer rights, healt issues and environment. Internship starts on 1^st of May and lasts for 6 weeks.

Czech Republic

Looking forward to a brighter future

Increase cultural awareness in orphans home. Intern needs to come up with a programm, that transmits cultural education in playful way. Children like activities which are based on music, dancing and sports. At the end of the internship intern is asked to participate in global village. Internship starts on 1^st of May and lasts for 6 weeks.

These are just few examples of many projects that we have coming up this summer.
