In Tallinn (AIESEC TTÜ)

Structure of the Local Committee

The local committee (LC) is lead by the Executive Board (EB) comprised of Local Committee President and Vice Presidents.

The Vice Presidents are responsible for functions/departments, each of them consisting of 1-2 teams. In addition, there is a Local Support Team, formed of responsibles for certain areas (like external relations and information systems), which support the LC in departments that are not represented in the Executive Board.

In Winter 2012, you can join one of the following teams:

Outgoing Exchange (OGX)

Outgoing Exchange deals with young people, who wish to go on an internship abroad (volunteering or professional). The task of the team is to recruit actively and to prepare the participants of the global community development and global internship programmesfor their life-changing experience.

OGX teams:

  • OGX Global Community Development Programme – manages the people who want to do volunteering abroad,by working on different social and educationalprojects to create a change in society, in fields of interest and/or need.
  • OGX Global Internship Programme – sends people to work in a company abroad for professional development and specialization in a certain area.

Incoming Exchange (ICX)

Incoming exchange is dealing with the companies that partner with us for the internship program and the interns who come to Estonia from other AIESEC countries.

As a team member you can coordinate the exchange process: selling the product, finding the suitable intern for the project/job, do the advertising campaigns, communicate with representatives of universities and companies and people all around the world. It is the best way to develop selling skills, organize learning events and finally go on exchange yourself.

The department has 2 teams, which deal with similar responsibilities, dividing only the market under the supervision of the Vice President.

Talent Management (TM)

Talent Management, mainly known as HR (Human Resources) deals with the membership of the organization: recruiting, allocating new members to teams, supporting, tracking the work and taking care of members’ development by trainings, learning circles, coaching, mentoring, etc. We ensure that membersare satisfied with their position, have enough opportunities to develop and keep up the LC’s culture to ensure a positive, fun and supportive environment.

Talent Management teams:

  • Member Support team – doing recruitment, allocating, supporting, development processes and interns’ reception. Receptions responsibilities include helping incoming trainees to organize needed documents and the logistical part of coming to live in Estonia, and integrating them in AIESEC activities.
  • Trainings team – creates and implements the education of LC Tallinn: organizes trainings, learning circles and social events.

Communication (Comm)

The Communication department is the department which makes AIESEC Tallinn visible. Radio, TV, newspapers, social media, public events – those are only a few channels that  are used! At the same time this team provides support to all the other teams with their knowledge in order to improve internal communication inside AIESEC.

Finance (F)

Finance function manages the Local Committee’s budget, incomes, expenditures, project funding/grants and conference budgets.

As a member of this team you get practical knowledge about finances, budgeting, through:

  • helping in development of financial management,
  • coordinating AIESEC events finances,
  • coordinating AIESEC projects’ finance, managing cost-sheets,
  • doing accounting and
  • organizing financial trainings for AIESEC Tallinn,

Projects

Each year we make social projects with the goal to have a positive impact in Estonian society. We involve trainees from all over the world in activities aimed to improve the education and cultural awareness of young people. The projects team deals with all the projects that AIESEC Tallinn runs throughout the year, with support from other functions.

Local Support Team

External Events

External events are conferences, seminars and workshops targeted to young people outside of AIESEC as well as our own members. Every year we organize Youth Leadership Conference, Estonian Youth Forum and Maata Vaailma conference, their implementation being coordinated by the responsible in this local support team.
