Tallinn
AIESEC TTÜ
The local committee (LC) in Tallinn was founded in april 1990, in Tallinn University of Technology. Already at the tender age of 1, in 1991, it hosted an international conference with 250 people from all over the world. In 1994 another local committee was started in Tallinn – in Estonian Danish Business School.
After 7 years of work in two LCs, in 2001, the two were united and given a new name – LC Universities of Tallinn.
Now, in 2011, the local committee is still located in TUT, managing the universities that are away from the city centre.
However, having realized that AIESEC has the potential to have a much bigger impact, a new initiative, AIESEC in Tallinn University, was started. This initiative group manages all the big universities in city centre and will in a few years potentially grow as big as the local committee in TUT.
AIESEC TLÜ
Though it is just an initiative group building it’s way from this year on, AIESEC TLU will be offering its team members and team leaders high quality experiences in functions like: international internships (either outgoing or incoming) human resources, communication, finance or in organizing social and educational international projects (exchange-based projects).
Over the years, AIESEC Tallinn has organized several successful projects and conferences that are well-known among students and young people. Among these are “Klapid Eest!” trainings cycle, “World on Wheels” project, conferences “Estonian Youth Forum” and “Youth Leadership Conference”and much more are yet to come.
